FITTING BALUSTRADES INFORMATION
What is a Balustrade you may ask? Well a Balustrade is a term used to describe a self supported handrail, fixed from a ground surface with an infill to enable a person not to fall through.
WMS Architectural Steelwork provides numerous Handrails and balustrades designs and styles. Clean and contemporary glass and stainless steel, to ornate wrought iron. A Balustrade would generally be used as a fall arrest along the edge or side of a raised area of walkway. Balustrades can also be used to direct people along routes.

WMS Architectural Steelwork have a vast range of experience when it comes to stainless steal and glass. WMS can come to and survey the site and provide an experienced solution or we can offer competitive quotes from working drawings, engineers details or photos provided.
WMS get asked the Question, "How do I know which is the right design for us" . WMS Bespoke designs are what we pride ourselves in, all we need is an idea from our client, photos of anything that has caught an eye and we can build from it. We have worked for domestic clients, as well as commercial projects for York Minster and the Church of England.
A typical project guideline of our services from start to finish consists of the first the design is to be agreed, either by examples of other work, internet images or previous designs. The materials and components are then collected and the fabrication starts and fitted on site.
If core holes are to be used instead of fixing we carry out this work ourselves to minimised outsourced work.
Depending on the design, the glass is ordered either at design stage or after the initial stainless steel members are fitted on site.
The polishing of the finished stainless steel is done just before the glass is fitted, this is done with specialist abrasives, mops and polishing soap.
Once the polishing is complete the glass is fitted.
